31 October 2023 is celebrated as National Unity Day or Rashtriya Ekta Diwas every year in India to commemorate Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birth anniversary. It is observed as a special occasion to foster and reinforce our dedication to preserve and strengthen the unity, integrity, and security of our nation. The occasion provides us an opportunity to reaffirm the inherent strength and resilience of our nation to withstand the actual and potential threats to the unity, integrity, and security of our country.
On this special occasion, Uttaranchal University also organized a pledge-taking ceremony at its various Schools/Colleges/Institutes. A large number of students, faculty, and staff members of Uttaranchal University observed the National Unity Day by taking the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas pledge. The occasion provides us an opportunity to reaffirm the inherent strength and resilience of our nation to withstand the actual and potential threats to the unity, integrity, and security of our country. This event was coordinated by the Dean Student Welfare, Uttaranchal University.
