Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences provide hands-on training 13th- 14th October 2023 to the students & faculties primarily from UG, PG and PhD scholars, Colleges in handling/troubleshooting of high-end scientific instrument; such skill development on the themes required for research work.
The inauguration of the event was graced by the Prof. (Dr.) Dharam Buddhi Vice chancellor Uttaranchal University, Guest of Honour Mr. Rahul Vatish, H. R. Head, INTAS Pharmaceuticals Limited, Prof. (Dr.) Vikash Jakhmola, Dean UIPS, along with the faculty members. The aim of the first day workshop was to show students about the working and handling of various instruments such as SEM, EDX, XRD, FTIR, Brookfield Viscometer, Disintegration Apparatus, Rotary Evaporator, Probe Sonicator. The event's objective was to promote awareness about these sophisticated instruments available in Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences which helps the students to develop excellent knowledge and importance about these instruments.
The aim of the second day workshop was to show students about the working and handling of various instruments such as HPLC, Dissolution Apparatus, UV Spectrophotometer, Rotary tablet Punching Machine, Tablet Coating. Along with this, formulation, and evaluation of different types of tablets has been demonstrated to the students. The event's objective was to promote awareness about these sophisticated instruments available in Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences which helps the students to develop excellent knowledge and importance about these instruments.
After the successful conduction of post workshop assessment, best trainee awarded with prize and certificate by Prof. (Dr.) Vikash Jakhmola, Dean UIPS. He also motivated students about the importance’s of these instrument during research studies.
Total 75 Students and Research Scholars actively participated in the workshop from institutes and universities with full enthusiasm and interest. The event ended with the vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Nidhi Nainwal, Associate Professor, UIPS & organized by Faculty Coordinators Dr. Pallavi Chand (Asst. Professor), Ms. Mansi Butola (Asst. Professor) and Ms. Yogita Ale (Asst. Professor).
