Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Uttaranchal University under the banner of Pharmacology Club and Women Cell organized a Hospital Visit and awareness program on “WORLD HEART DAY” on 29th September,2023 with the theme “Use Heart for every heart”. The visit was conducted in Hospital Dr. K.K.B.M Subharti Hospital, Dehradun, and State Mental Health Institute, Selaqui, for the pharmacy students.
World Heart Day is a global event that focuses on raising awareness about cardiovascular diseases to encourage individuals to adopt heart-healthy lifestyles. Given the importance of this day in promoting public health. The Hospital Visit and awareness program was conceptualized and conducted under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Vikash Jakhmola (Dean, UIPS) and visit and awareness program was coordinated by Mrs. Nidhi Gairola, Mrs. Pallavi Ghildiyal, Mrs. Jyotsana Suyal, Assistant Professor UIPS.
The primary objective is to give a hand with training to the students under practice school and to educate them about cardiovascular diseases, Mental health disorders, their prevention, management, and the role of pharmacists in hospitals. It provided students with an opportunity to interact with healthcare professionals, patients, and observe real-world applications of pharmaceutical knowledge in a clinical setting.
