School of Agriculture (SOA) organized a career counselling session for the final Year Students of B Sc (H) Agriculture, on 5 September 2023 on “Future Job Opportunities in Supply Chain Management of Agricultural Products”. The session started with a welcome note by Prof (Dr) MP Singh, SOA. He highlighted the relevance of technological advancement in logistics and transportation of agriculture products and motivated students for technology so that they can be fit in corporate jobs. The invited expert, Mr Iqbal Singh Sawney, Senior Manager, Corporate Resource Centre (CRC), Uttaranchal University addressed the students on the integration of digital technologies in supply chain operations. He elaborated on important topics like Market Reforms through e-NAM (National Agriculture Market), Agricultural Export Policy, and the Role of Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) and NGOs in agriculture sector. In addition, he emphasized the importance of making an impressive biodata, participating in industrial internships and training programs, and attending personality development classes to enhance the confidence of students. The session concluded with vote of thanks proposed by Dr Rajendra Prasad, HoD, SOA.
