Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences (USCS), Uttaranchal University, Dehradun successfully completed a one-week Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Microsoft Power BI-Data Analyst” from 10 July 2023 to 14 July 2023.
The program was graced with the presence of the Hon’ble Chancellor of the University Shri Jitender Joshi Ji, Prof (Dr) Satbir S Sehgal, Vice-President, Uttaranchal University, Prof (Dr) Dharam Budhhi, Vice-Chancellor, Uttaranchal University, Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof (Dr) Pradeep Suri, Dean Academics and Prof (Dr) Sonal Sharma Dean, USCS. The expert speakers of the FDP were Mr Raghvendra Singh Technical Trainer ICT Academy and Mr Aditya Singh Relationship Manager ICT Academy.
The FDP on “Microsoft Power BI” was designed to improve faculty members' understanding and proficiency with using Power BI for data analysis. During this FDP participant learned features of advanced analytics, data modelling, visualization, interactive dashboard building, and data approaches through Query Editor Interface and mastering data transformation tasks using M formulas and DAX functions.
The outcomes of an FDP on Microsoft Power BI are intended to give participants the knowledge and abilities to use Power BI successfully for data analysis, visualization, and decision-making.
Prof (Dr) Sonal Sharma Dean USCS proposed the vote of thanks on this momentous occasion, marking the end of informative and transformative FDP on "Microsoft Power BI". She extended heartfelt appreciation to the faculty members from other colleges of Uttarakhand for their enthusiastic participation in the FDP.
The entire FDP, under the guidance of convener Prof (Dr) Sonal Sharma, Dean USCS, was successfully coordinated by Dr Sameer Dev Sharma, Dr Monisha Awasthi, Dr Vijaylakshami Sajwan, Mr Amarjeet Rawat, Ms Manisha Khanduja, Mr Praveen Shah, Ms Manisha Saini, Ms Divya Rawat and technical staff. Certification of participation and appreciation was presented by the hon’ble chief guest to all the participants.
