Uttaranchal University celebrated Uttarakhand folk festival “Harela” and organizes a plantation drive on 21st July 2023 in the University campus. Prof (Dr) Mahipal Singh, Dean, School of Agriculture (SOA) welcomed Shri Jitender Joshi, Chancellor, Uttaranchal University, Prof (Dr) Satbir Sehgal, Vice President, Prof (Dr) Dharm Buddhi, Vice- Chancellor, Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro Vice- Chancellor of the University; Prof (Dr) Ajay Singh, Dean SALS, Prof (Dr) Kartikey Gaur, Joint Registrar, (P&G)D and faculty members of SOA and other Schools/ Departments. He requested all guests for plantation of medicinal and aromatic saplings. Following the planting of the tree seedlings, the Hon'ble Chancellor of the University urged on why planting trees could be beneficial to the environment and our lives. He advised everyone for individual efforts for conservation of trees and wildlives.
Everyone complimented each other on the Harela celebration at the end of the program.
