The Training and Recruitment Division in collaboration
with CRC (Corporate Research Centre) under the aegis of the faculty of Law
College Dehradun, Uttaranchal University organized a session on the
Intellectual Property Rights with Mr. Arpit Kalra (Associate partner in SS Rana
& Co) on 25 April 2023. The event marked its beginning with the anchors for
the day Ms. Vaidehi Priya Dwivedi & Ms. Lata Negi who introduced the guests
to the gathering. Prof. Dr. Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro Vice Chancellor, Uttaranchal
University and Dean, Law College Dehradun, addressed the gathering to
acknowledge the relevance of 'IP Day' and presented a brief but impactful
welcome address about the keynote speaker Mr. Arpit Kalra. The speaker
elaborated on the meaning of "Intellectual Property". He further explained
about several trademarks and characteristics for choosing them. A discussion
was also made with regard to the trademark prosecution and its process. The
session further proceeded towards 'Patent, Royalty & Novelty. He also conducted an interactive doubt clearance session, which was
well-received by the speaker. The session was concluded with a vote of thanks by
the Head of CRC, Mr. Iqbal Singh Sahani.
