On the occasion of World Intellectual Property Day, Division of Research & Innovation, Uttaranchal University, organised half day Awareness Program on for the students of UIT, and USCS, of Uttaranchal University, on 26th April 2023. The purpose of the program was to make the students aware about IPR and IP Management and how the knowledge about these documents would be beneficial for them in future by protecting their business/Start-Up ideas with the help of IP management tool.
The resource person for the program was Sh. Anupam Dwivedi, Deputy Director - DIRECTORATE OF INDUSTRIES MSME, Dehradun, Uttarakhand. He gave an in depth information about the IPR and IP Management to the students as well as the importance of IPR in our day-to-day life. He also shared various instances where due to lack of knowledge about IPR and its importance caused businesses and individuals their fortunes as the commodities or ideas that they carried forward was taken by others due to ignorance about IPR and IP management tool.
