The Cultural Club, Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University, Dehradun, organized a Talent Hunt- Singing and Dancing Competition for students of UIM on 2 March, 2023 at UIM Foyer, 2.30 PM onwards. The purpose of this competition is to bring out the talent of the students of the UIM. Dr H.S. Grewal, Dean, UIM, Uttaranchal University graced the event by raising the morale of the students with the upraising words that the competition was held with the goal of fusing education with enjoyment and helping students gain confidence by providing them the chance to perform in front of an audience.
The event was successfully organized and coordinated by Sonakshi Bhatia, Head- Cultural and Academic Affairs and the team members Dr Babita Rawat, Associate Professor, UIM, Mr Manish Ghalwan, Assistant Professor, UIM, Ms Manleenjot Kaur, Assistant Professor, UIM, Ms Aayushi, Assistant Professor, UIM along with the student coordinators. The students Kunal Raina and Riya Kumari, BBA, I Year were the MoC of the event.
A total of 40 students participated for the final rounds after the auditions. The final round was held on 2 March, 2023. The folk dances like Punjabi, Garhwali, Garba and many more were represented by different groups. Judges were impressed by the quality of performances and their zeal to showcase themselves. They were all winners in that sense.

Singing Competition:
- Winner-Abhinav Singh Rajput, BBA- II Year
- Runner up- Shrisha Chauhan and Sweety Nath, MBA- I Year
Dancing Competition:
- Winner- The Vampires Group (Malika Gurung, Aarti Jangra, Kirti Maheshwari, Sakshi kandwal, Akansha, B.Com (H) III year, Teena Jindal, Sanpreet kaur, Sadhana, Chetan Nauliya, BBA I Year)
- Runner up – Deepanshi, BBA II Year
The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Tilottama Singh, HoD, UIM and gave best wishes to participants and encouraged the other students for taking part in such activities which unravel hidden passion. Everyone applauded the students loudly.
