A Semester Commencement Meet (Faculty Induction And Orientation Program) for the even semester of the academic year 2023-24 was organized by HRDC in Swami Vivekananda Auditorium at Uttaranchal University on 25 January 2024, to bring together all faculty members and set the tone for a successful and collaborative semester. The event aimed to provide essential information and align the faculty with the university’s goals. The event commenced with lamp lighting followed by the university Kulgeet.
An engaging session was taken by Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro Vice-Chancellor on “New Semester, new hopes and new expectations”. The session was followed by the guidance of Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Vice- Chancellor to highlight the roles and responsibilities of the faculty members for the new semester. The role of an effective “Learning management system” and effective lesson plans was also emphasized. A session on “Motivation” by Prof (Dr) S S Sehgal was also a part of the event, which filled everyone with new zeal for the upcoming semester. A small interlude was taken for recreational activities, following which a session was carried forward by Prof (Dr) Anita Gehlot, Head, DRI highlighting various research incentives and acknowledging the efforts of researchers in various patents and publications.
Towards the end, Honourable Chancellor, Shri Jitendra Joshi ji, encouraged all with profound words of wisdom which inspired all to embark on this journey with enthusiasm, passion, and a shared dedication to achieving desired goals. The session was a resounding success and played a pivotal role in forming a solid structure and meticulous planning for the new semester.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Prof (Dr) Shravan Kumar, Dean Student Welfare and School of Liberal Arts.
