An Industrial Visit to M G Shahani & Company, Dehradun was organized by Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University for MBA Final Year students on 16 November 2022.
The objective of the visit was to make the students aware about the FMCG industry, mainly focused on contract manufacturing and distribution systems. Students were welcomed by Mr Uma Shankar Mishra, Manager HR & Ad. The students were divided into two groups and each group was escorted by the respective plant heads to visit various facilities dealing with the manufacturing of personal care, health care, and hospitality products manufactured by the company. He also explained about the supply chain management, distribution and marketing process of the company dealing in B2B marketing.
At the end, the students were invited for queries which were responded to them with proper details. Students appreciated the practical exposure received by them Mr Bipin Kandpal, Assistant Professor, UIM, Mr Paramjit Singhand, Manager, Corporate Resource Center, Uttaranchal University, Dr Deepti Sharma, Associate Professor, UIM were the coordinators of the visit, which was proposed and guided by Dr Tilottama Singh, HoD, Management and Prof (Dr) Pradeep Suri, Dean, UIM.
