An Industrial Visit to India Glycols Ltd, Dehradun was organized by CRC Club, Uttaranchal Institute of Management for MBA Final Year students on 16 November 2022.
The objective of the visit was to make the students aware of the entire manufacturing process including administrative and personnel management in the organization. The group was welcomed by Mr Swatantresh Mishra, Plant In-Charge followed by a briefing about the company, its vision, mission and its products. Thereafter, students were divided into two groups and the groups were escorted by the production head to production units. He also briefed the extraction of herbal chemicals from various herbs and plants. He also explained the distribution and marketing process of the chemicals produced by the unit.
Finally, he invited queries from the student’s end. Many students raised their queries and he responded to them aptly and with proper details. Students were elated by this practical exposure.
Mr Bipin Kandpal, Mr Paramjit Singhand, Dr Deepti Sharma coordinated this visit under the supervision of Dr Tilottama Singh, HoD, Management and Prof (Dr) Pradeep Suri, Dean, UIM.
