Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University organized a guest lecture on ‘Dining Etiquettes’ on 8 September 2022 in seminar hall, UIM. Session was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.)  Pradeep Suri,Dean UIM.He welcomed the keynote speaker, Mr. Manish Badoni, Principal, Uttaranchal School of Hotel & Hospitality Management and addressed the gathering about the importance of Dining etiquette because it is vital in many aspects of life, including our professional lives. Improper etiquette has frequently led to the failure of discussions, dealsand negotiations.

Mr. Badoni started the session with the importance of dining etiquettes and setting etiquette in business profession. He talked about table manners including how to use the napkins and cutleries. He also mentioned about appropriate dress code for dining and laws related to food safety. He guided students that why making a good impression during interviews and in social business settings requires proper dining etiquette and advice on how to behave at the dining table so that they can stand out as a polished professional by using numerous examples.

He discussed about Nestle patent and its patent right. Today’s session was practical experience for students and they learned about how to use of knife and fork, sitting etiquettes, eating manners and proper tipping. Mr. Manish Badoni answered all the question of the students during the Q&A session. The session was informative and provided insights into proper dining etiquette. A Vote of Thanks was proposed by Dr. Deepti Sharma, Associate Professor ,UIM  at the end of the session.
