The workshop was organized for the benefit of research and teachers at Uttaranchal University. The topic was Innovative Practices & Research in Rejuvenating Rivers - Ganga Case Study. Former Director General of National Mission for Clean Ganga, Namami Ganga Project (Ganga Rejuvenation Project) Shri Rajiv Ranjan Mishra was presented as the chief guest. 


In his address, Mr. Rajeev Ranjan Mishra explained in detail all the aspects, challenges and success of the Namami Gange project. He explained in detail the concepts of Aviral Dhara, Nirmal Dhara, Jan Ganga and Gyan Ganga. He said that apart from Ganga, 351 other rivers are also polluted for which a national mission and positive participation of everyone is needed. For Ganga to remain clean, pure and flow continuously, both faith and duty are necessary. By exploring innovative solutions, scientific insights, and successful case studies, the event aimed to foster collaboration, inspire actionable strategies, and pave the way for sustainable river rejuvenation. Through interdisciplinary discussions, it seeks to address the challenges faced by the Ganga River and establish a platform for knowledge exchange, ultimately contributing to the broader global conversation on river conservation.
