To celebrate the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri Uttaranchal School of Hotel & Hospitality Management Social Club (Umeed) organised a 'Plantation Drive'. On the occasion, each student planted a sapling in their own backyard or community. The students took part in the activity enthusiastically. This drive saw the planting of a variety of plants.
On the morning of 02/10/2022, the students planted a sapling in their backyard or their locality. The idea behind the tree plantation activity is to propagate the message that planting trees helps to maintain a clear eco-friendly environment reduces pollution and improves the green ambiance. The main aim of this activity was to spread and create awareness to protect the environment from degrading.
The event was a success as many students contributed profoundly by planting many saplings on this day. The event was organized by Ms. Sapna Bisht, General Secretary of Social club “Umeed” Uttaranchal School of Hotel & Hospitality Management, Uttaranchal University. Student coordinators Vijay Devrari and Ashish Kumar coordinated the event successfully.
