Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, under the banner of Pharmacology Club, Uttaranchal University organised an Awareness and Quiz Competition for the students on the occasion of World Liver Day, 19 April 2022 with the theme of “Keep your liver healthy and disease-free”.The students of Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences attended the event. The team of students of the Pharmacology Club arranged the Power Point Presentation on the function and disorder of Liver which was followed by a Quiz Competition between the students of Pharmacy that was based on multiple-choice questions relating to various liver disorders and their causes.
The Camp was conceptualized and conducted under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Vikash Jakhmola, Dean, UIPS, Dr. Amit Semwal, HoD, UIPS. A total number of 50 students participated in the event. Gargi Bhatt, Abhishek Saini and Santripati Thapa of B Pharm secured the 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively in the quiz competition. These students were awarded with the certificate at the end of the event.
The event was coordinated by Mrs. Nidhi Gairola, Assistant Professor, Mrs Pallavi Ghildiyal, Assistant Professor, UIPS, UIPS and Dr. Ankit Sharma, Assistant Professor, UIPS with the student members of the Pharmacology Club.
A vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs. Nidhi Gairola, Assistant Professor, UIPS. She expressed their vote of thanks towards Honorable Chancellor, Shri Jitender Joshi, Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Dharm Buddhi, Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna, Dean of UIPS Dr. Vikash Jakhmolafor the successful organization of event.
