Department of Civil Engineering organized Treasure hunt 2.0, the idea of hunting for hidden treasures has always been exciting and adventurous. In a treasure hunt, participants work in small teams to find the treasure with the help of given clues. The team that decodes the clue and finds the treasure first will win the game.
The treasure hunt aims to get groups to try to complete challenges by working as a team and utilizing their problem-solving skills to come up with strategic plans to help complete the challenges throughout the activity.
Attendant by 70 teams from across the university, at 10:00 am in UIT seminar hall on date: - 13/04/22. All the members and coordinators had put in great efforts to make this event a success. The event was attended by all faculty members of the civil engineering department, along with the respective HODs of other departments as well Chief Guest for the Occasion was Dr. S. D. Pandey, Dean UIT and Dr. Bharti Ramola, Chairperson, UUCEC who graced the occasion with the lighting of the lamp of knowledge and learning, followed by a speech which seemed to be highly motivating and encouraging.
The event took place at 11:00 am and extended up to 4:00 pm.
The event was held two rounds:
- Elimination Round: Brainstorming
- Final Round: The Final Hunt.
In the Elimination round: Brainstorming. Participants were given a question pallet of 15 riddles and each team have 15 minutes to solve those riddles but here is the challenge arise that the riddles answer belongs to any material or any kind of stuff, which each team have to collect in the 15 minutes and bring them back to the event head. Each riddle carry some points(1, 2, and 3). The top 10 teams who gained maximum points collectively within the time range were qualified for the final round.
In the final round: The Final Hunt, the top 10 teams were provided with clues, which they have to find across the university. One clue is connected to another clue by some code language, and each team has to solve them to find the location of the next clue.
The programme wound up by 4:30 pm, when the prize distribution ceremony was carried out by our esteemed dignitary Prof. (Dr.) S. D. Pandey and HoD of Civil Engineering Department.
Mr. Ashish Pathani, Faculty Coordinator accorded the vote of gratitude at the end of this enlightening session and the event was smoothly anchored by Yatendra Singh, the student coordinator of the Nirmaan club.
