The Board of Studies (BOS) Meeting for Management and Commerce Courses was organized by Uttaranchal Institute of Management (UIM), Uttaranchal University, on 9 June 2026 in the UIM Board Room. The meeting commenced with a warm welcome address by Prof (Dr) Tilottama Singh, HoD, Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University and Member Secretary, Board of Studies. She warmly welcomed the Chairman, external experts from academia and industry, along with committee members present for the meeting.
The meeting was chaired by Prof (Dr) Pradeep Suri, Director, Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University. The meeting was also graced by the presence of Prof (Dr) Gajendra Singh, HoD, School of Management, Doon University and industry expert Mr. Apaar Khanna, Branch Manager, HDFC Bank.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding curriculum revision, introduction of new courses, removal and repositioning of courses, and restructuring of programme schemes for Management and Commerce programmes in alignment with NEP 2020 guidelines, UGC, AICTE, and university norms. Discussions were further held on continuation of multi-exit provisions, one-year postgraduate programmes under NEP 2020 guidelines, and continuation of PhD coursework.
The Chairman initiated deliberations on the viability of curriculum revisions in accordance with NAAC guidelines and emphasized the alignment of the proposed syllabus changes with evolving industry expectations. The meeting witnessed valuable suggestions and constructive inputs from the experts and members present, aiming towards academic excellence and holistic development of students.
The meeting concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Prof (Dr) Tilottama Singh, Member Secretary, Board of Studies, Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University. She expressed her sincere gratitude to the Chairman, external experts, internal experts and all the committee members for their valuable presence, suggestions, and contribution towards the successful conduct of the meeting.
