The BizPlan Battle 2026, organized by the Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences (USCS) for quarter II of IIC 8.0, Uttaranchal University, was successfully conducted on 10th April 2026 at the Seminar Hall, USCS. The event was centered around the theme “Plan, Pitch, Prosper," aiming to nurture entrepreneurial thinking and innovation among students.


The event was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Sonal Sharma, director, whose leadership ensured the smooth execution of the program. The occasion was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Rajesh Singh, Director, DRI , Uttaranchal University, who shared valuable insights on innovation, research, and entrepreneurship, motivating students to transform their ideas into impactful ventures. The presence of Prof. Dr. Sameer Dev Sharma, HOD, USCS, further encouraged participants and added value to the event through his inspiring words.


The speaker of the event, Prof. Dr. Meera Sharma, delivered an engaging and insightful session. She not only encouraged students to think creatively and take initiative but also provided practical guidance on the model business plan and its proper format, helping participants understand how to structure and present their ideas effectively in a professional pitch.


Nearly 11 teams from Computing Sciences and B.Tech courses were shortlisted for the final round. Each team presented their original business ideas in a pitch format, showcasing creativity, feasibility, and strong entrepreneurial potential. The competition served as an excellent platform for students to enhance their presentation skills, critical thinking, and confidence. The winners of the competition were:


· First Prize: Riya Tandon and Himanshu Badoni (BCA 2nd Year)


· Second Prize: Ayushi Choudhary and Keerti Rawat (BCA 2nd Year)


· Third Prize: Keshav Sudan, Pranjal, and Varun (BCA 1st Year)


The event concluded on a successful note, leaving participants inspired and motivated to explore entrepreneurship as a career path. Overall, BizPlan Battle 2026 proved to be a valuable learning experience and a significant step towards fostering innovation and startup culture among students.


The successful organization of the event was greatly supported by the dedicated efforts of the volunteers from the Competitive Cell-USCS. On this occasion, the presence of Mrs. Manisha Saini, Assistant Professor, USCS; Mrs. Manisha Khanduja, Assistant Professor, USCS; Event Judge Ms. Pallavi Raj, Assistant Professor; and Mr. Aagman Kaparwan, Assistant Professor, USCS, added value to the event. Their contributions played a significant role in making the program a success.
