Uttaranchal University Hosts 2nd All India IQAC Workshop Focusing on Sustainability, Quality Assurance, and Global Education Standards : June 27-28, 2025 (Dehradun)

Overview 

Uttaranchal University, Dehradun, successfully organized the 2nd All India IQAC Workshop, a prestigious two-day national event that brought together education leaders, national experts, and institutional quality practitioners from across the country. Held on June 27-28, 2025, in hybrid mode, the workshop focused on the theme: 
Connecting Quality with Sustainability through Accreditation and the SDGs.” 

This initiative aligned higher education priorities with national quality assurance mandates and global sustainability goals, promoting innovation and accountability in higher education institutions. 

Inaugural Session 

The workshop was inaugurated in the gracious presence of: 

  • Hon’ble Shri Subodh Uniyal, Minister of Technical Education, Government of Uttarakhand (Chief Guest), who commended the University's commitment to quality and sustainability in education. 

  • Sh. Jitender Joshi, President, Uttaranchal University, who welcomed dignitaries with a bouquet and memento and acknowledged the pivotal role of the University's IQAC in driving academic excellence. 

  • Prof. Dharam Buddhi, Vice Chancellor, highlighted the University's vision and the workshop's objective of integrating best practices from institutions across India.

  • Prof. Varinder S. Kanwar, CEO, NABET (QCI)- India’s evolving accreditation landscape 

  • Mr. Ritin Malhotra, GM & Senior Regional Director (Asia), Times Higher Education (THE) – Global ranking methodologies and institutional readiness 

  • Prof. Akashdeep Sharma, Panjab University- NBA Accreditation: Strategy and implementation 

  • Prof. Livleen K. Kahlon, Associate Director, TERI- Sustainability in Education and Climate Action 

  • Prof. Meenakshi Sood, Associate Dean, NITTTR Chandigarh- Outcome-Based Education (OBE) in Indian Higher Education 

  • Ms. Vani Pandey, Network Manager, SDSN South Asia- Integrating UN SDGs into institutional frameworks
