The Women Cell of the School of Liberal Arts celebrated International Women’s Day on 7 March 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the SLA Seminar Hall. The event was conducted under the theme “Give to Gain: Voices of Women — Stories, Solidarity, and Empowerment.” The objective of the program was to highlight the importance of women’s voices, celebrate their achievements, and encourage a spirit of solidarity and empowerment among students. The event was graced by Prof (Dr) Kartikey, Director, SLA, Prof (Dr) Reeta Rautela, HOD, SLA and esteemed faculty members.
The program began with a warm welcome by the student anchors, who introduced the significance of International Women’s Day and the theme of the event. She emphasized how sharing stories and supporting one another helps build stronger communities and promotes equality.
The highlight of the event was a series of student monologues in which participants portrayed inspiring women from history and contemporary society. Through expressive performances, the students brought forward powerful narratives of courage, resilience, and determination. The performances encouraged the audience to reflect on the struggles and achievements of women across different contexts.
The program also included a musical presentation that celebrated the strength, creativity, and unity of women. The performance added a vibrant and emotional dimension to the event and was appreciated by the audience. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Nandini Kumar, Assistant Professor, who expressed gratitude to the organizers, performers, and students for their enthusiastic participation and contribution to the success of the program.
The celebration successfully created a reflective and inspiring environment, reminding everyone of the importance of women’s empowerment and collective support in building a more inclusive society.
