UIM organises seminar on CPBFI: Where Potential Meets Opportunity

The Uttaranchal Institute of Management (UIM), Uttaranchal University, conducted a seminar on the Certificate Programme in Banking, Finance and Insurance (CPBFI) in association with Bajaj Finserv on 12 February 2026. The Competition Preparation Cell (CPC), UIM, coordinated the programme in the esteemed presence of Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri, Director, UIM, and Dr. Tilottama Singh, HoD, UIM, whose guidance and encouragement added great significance to the event. 

The session featured Dr. Tarun Bhatia as the guest speaker, an educationist and industry expert from Dehradun. Dr. Bhatia is a Consultant for TimesPro and serves as the Cluster Head, Uttarakhand, for Bajaj Finserv’s Skill Development Programs. He delivered a presentation during the seminar that showcased the evolution of the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) sector. He explained to the students the importance of developing strong interpersonal skills such as effective communication, teamwork, adaptability, and professional ethics, along with gaining practical knowledge and industry exposure. He emphasized that these competencies are essential for building a successful career in the BFSI sector. 

Dr. Bhatia elaborated on the CPBFI programme, which provides 120 hours of structured training, including practice interviews that focus on both attitude and skill development. The 30-day programme follows the academic calendar and includes assessments, HR workshops, and certification from Bajaj Finserv. 

The seminar ended with an engaging Q&A session, during which students made inquiries about careers in the BFSI field. The formal proceedings concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Mohd. Amir, Assistant Professor, who expressed gratitude to the guest speaker, dignitaries, and students for making the session meaningful and impactful. 

The seminar reaffirmed UIM’s dedication to connecting academic studies with industry requirements. As rightly emphasized during the session, “When knowledge is strengthened by skills and confidence, potential transforms into opportunity.
