On 16 May 2025, a group of 12 enthusiastic undergraduate and postgraduate psychology students proudly represented our university at the prestigious Medical Simulation Conference held at AIIMS Rishikesh. The students presented well-researched academic papers under the expert supervision of Dr Atika Tewari, Assistant Professor, Dehradun.
The conference, centered on the theme of Medical Simulation, provided a unique platform for students to explore the integration of simulation-based approaches within the field of psychology. While traditionally associated with clinical and surgical training, medical simulation is now emerging as a promising tool in psychological research and practice. Integrating these two domains was no easy task, but one that our students embraced with passion, creativity, courage, and curiosity.
Dr Tewari remarked, “Integrating medical simulation into psychology research is a challenging path, but one that our students embraced with passion, creativity, courage, and curiosity.” Her mentorship and the students’ dedication turned a complex idea into a successful academic endeavour.
Participating in this national-level conference was not just about showcasing research, it was about learning, growing, and stepping beyond the classroom. The performance of students reflects the academic strength and research culture we aim to foster.
