Under the aegis of Uttaranchal University, a workshop on the National Education Policy 2020 was organized by the Human Resource Development Committee in Vivekananda Auditorium. Various dimensions of the policy were discussed to ensure its effective compliance. The workshop commenced with a lamp-lighting ceremony by the President of the University, Shri Jitendra Joshi; Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Dharm Buddhi; Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Rajesh Bahuguna; and Coordinator of the Human Resource Development Committee (HRDC), Prof. Dr. Anil Kumar Dixit, followed by the University Kul Geet.
Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. Bahuguna, extended a warm welcome to the gathering and discussed the need for fundamental reforms in the role of teachers in higher education. Director of IQAC, Mr. Rajesh Devrani, addressed the university faculty regarding regulations required to achieve high- quality education standards. Placement Cell Advisor Mr. Saurav Badoni and Director Mr. Arun Godiyal shared insights about systematic programs aimed at setting placement standards in both national and multinational companies for the coming years.
Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Dharm Buddhi, emphasized on organizing special programs at the university for implementing rules and regulations issued by various agencies, including NAAC, UGC and the government ministries implementing the National Education Policy 2020.
In this workshop, Bank of Baroda honored three meritorious students at Uttaranchal University - Gargi Pant, Ayushi Bhaduri and Ayush Bhatt with the “Achievers Award” by giving each of them a cheque of ₹ 31000. Uttaranchal University President Shri Jitendra Joshi ji highlighted the importance of seriously adopting the principles of the National Education Policy in the teaching practices.
The workshop was moderated by Assistant Professor Ms. Ritu Baluni and the vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Dr. Anil Kumar Dixit, Coordinator HRDC.
