A guest lecture on Economic significance and entrepreneurship potential of aromatic plants was organized by School of Applied and Life Sciences (SALS), in association with Centre of Aromatic plants (CAP), Selaqui Dehradun on 4 March 2025. The lecture was conducted under the guidance of Prof Ajay Singh, Director SALS. Dr Bhaskar Dwivedi (Scientist) and Dr Anchal Chaudhary (Scientist), were the invited experts. Students of Biotechnology, chemistry and botany discipline attended the lecture. Dr Bhaskar Dwivedi in his lecture provided valuable inputs pertaining to cultivation, harvesting and processing of aromatic plants to extract secondary metabolites of medicinal and industrial significance. In another lecture, Dr Anchal Chaudhary provided an exposure on how commercial cultivation of aromatic plants can be established, associated advantages and economic viability of cultivating aromatic plants was also discussed. The lectures proved to be extremely beneficial for all the participants.
