On 4 March 2025, Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University, organised an informative session on “Going Beyond Skilling- Employability”. The session was organized by the Fintech Club, UIM in collaboration with Bajaj Finserv under the guidance of Prof (Dr) Pradeep Suri, Director, UIM. It aimed to introduce management students to the Employability Enhancement module & Certificate Programme in Banking, Finance, and Insurance (CPBFI) course. The event featured corporate speakers Dr Tarun Bhatia, Cluster Head, Uttarakhand, Timespro, Bajaj Finserv and Mr Amresh Kumar, CSR Operations Head-Corporate Social Responsibility, Times Group.
The formal proceedings commenced with Prof (Dr) Tilottama Singh, HoD, UIM extending welcome and introducing the esteemed guests. Dr Tarun Bhatia delivered a comprehensive overview of the CPBFI course, emphasizing its potential to transform the educational framework and its accreditation by the Academic Bank of Credits. Mr Amresh emphasized the program's industry relevance, career opportunities, and learning methodologies for enhancing employability skills. He elaborated on fundamental concepts and discussed the course modules, learning outcomes, practical case studies and industry interactions. The session included interactive discussions led by speakers, providing students with valuable insights into the practical applications of the course content.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr Mobin Anwar and Ms Sakshi Choli, Assistant Professor, UIM who expressed gratitude to the guest speakers and attendees. Overall, the session provided students with the skills and confidence needed to excel in the competitive job market, aligning academic learning with industry expectations.
