Five-day workshop on “Empowering Innovation with IoT: A Hands-on Workshop

The Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences (USCS), Uttaranchal University, in collaboration with Ensino Research and Development Pvt. Ltd., organized a five-day workshop on “Empowering Innovation with IoT: A Hands-on Workshop” from 18th to 22nd March 2025. The workshop expert was Mr. Ashok Kumar, Founder of Ensino Research and Development Pvt. Ltd. This workshop aimed to equip participants with practical IoT skills, focusing on applications in smart cities, healthcare, agriculture, and manufacturing through hands-on activities and real-world case studies. 

The inaugural ceremony commenced with a lamp lighting and felicitation, graced by the esteemed presence of expert Mr. Ashok Kumar, along with Prof. (Dr.) Sonal Sharma, Director of USCS, and Dr. Sameer Dev Sharma, HoD of USCS. 

 

Prof. (Dr.) Sonal Sharma, Director of USCS, stressed the significance of practical exposure in today's tech-driven era. She emphasized that the workshop offered students a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience, fostering innovation and enhancing their technical competencies. 

 

This workshop provided an exciting opportunity for participants to acquire essential IoT skills for developing innovative solutions. It covered key topics like IoT architecture, data analytics, sensors, cloud computing, and security. Through hands-on activities, collaborative projects, and case studies, participants explored how IoT is transforming industries such as smart cities, healthcare, agriculture, and manufacturing. 

 

The inauguration ceremony was smoothly coordinated by Ms. Divya Pandey and Mr. Abhishek Kumar Pathak with the support of Ms. Manisha Saini, Ms. Manisha Khanduja and student volunteers.
