To commemorate the significance of World Kindness Day on 13 November 2024, Expressions – The Literary Club of UIT proudly presented "Kindness Echoes," an online essay writing competition dedicated to exploring the profound impact of compassion through the art of writing. This initiative invited participation from students within Uttaranchal University and beyond, providing a virtual platform for the submission of their thoughtful essays.
The competition witnessed enthusiastic engagement, with compelling and insightful essays contributed by the following talented students:

The submitted essays were meticulously evaluated by Dr. Pinki Chugh, the coordinator of Expressions – The Literary Club. Prof (Dr) Sumit Chaudhary appreciated the expression of the writers and motivated the organizing team to host more such events. Her expertise and discerning judgment played a crucial role in recognizing the most impactful and well-articulated expressions of kindness.
While the event was conducted entirely online, fostering widespread participation, the organization and planning were carried out through online meetings among the dedicated members of Expressions – The Literary Club. These virtual gatherings facilitated the smooth execution of the competition, from the initial announcement and submission process to the final evaluation.
This competition underscores the unwavering commitment of Expressions – The Literary Club to promote literary skills and engage students in exploring themes of social relevance and personal growth. "Kindness Echoes" effectively resonated with the spirit of compassion and highlighted the enduring power of words to inspire positive change.
