The School of Liberal Arts organized a workshop titled "Unlocking Innovative Research Writing: Workshop on Research Paper Essentials" which aimed to provide students of English Literature with an understanding of the fundamental principles of research methodology, emphasizing its importance in literary studies on 11 September 2024.
The session featured a stimulating start by Prof (Dr) Rajesh Singh, Director, Department of Research and Innovation, Uttaranchal University. Prof Rajesh Singh delivered an engaging and informative session aimed at providing the students with a clear understanding of the essential aspects of research paper writing and understanding how AI tools can assist in enhancing the research process.
Furthermore, he outlined the structure of a standard research paper which includes the title, abstract, introduction, literature review, methodology, result, discussion, conclusion and reference. He provided detailed information about AI- powered writing tools such as grammar and style checkers which can enhance writing quality. His insight into both traditional research method and AI tools equipped students with practical knowledge and skills that are essential for academic success in the digital age. Throughout the event, interactive Q&A sessions facilitated meaningful dialogue between students and experts, allowing the clarification of doubts and the exploration of nuanced topics. Students enthusiastically posed questions, demonstrating their eagerness to delve deeper into the subject matter and glean insights from seasoned professionals.
In conclusion, the session proved to be an enriching and enlightening experience for all the participants. The event was coordinated by Dr Anju Singh, Assistant Professor, SLA, under the guidance of Prof (Dr) Shravan Kumar, Director, School of Liberal Arts.
