The students from the School of Applied and Life Sciences, Uttaranchal University, visited the Zoological Survey of India (ZSI), Dehradun, to gain practical insights into zoological research and biodiversity conservation. The visit was organized to enhance the students understanding of research methodologies and conservation practices employed by ZSI.
The visit commenced with a welcome address and an overview of ZSI mission and ongoing projects. A guided tour of the museum, showcasing various zoological specimens, and research laboratories provided a firsthand experience of ZSI state-of-the-art facilities. The students engaged with research scientists, learning about recent findings and data collection techniques. A Q&A session allowed the students to interact with experts, clarifying their queries and gaining deeper insights into the field.
