The Director of IQAC, Er. Rajesh Deorari, and ERP Head cum Sr. Grade Librarian, Mr. Arun Singh Thakur, represented Uttaranchal University at the NAAC's Consultative Workshop on the Transformative Reforms in NAAC Accreditation-2024. The workshop, held on July 26, 2024, at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow, focused on the Dr. Radhakrishnan Committee’s recommendations, approved by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
The workshop at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University was led by esteemed speakers, including NAAC Chairman Prof. Anil Sahasrabudhe, Director NAAC Prof. Ganesan Kannabiran, and Adviser NAAC Prof. B.S. Ponmudiraj. The discussions centered on the Dr. Radhakrishnan Committee’s recommendations, which are scheduled for phased implementation by NAAC.
Key discussions included the introduction of Binary Accreditation, simplifying the current accreditation process with new reforms, and Maturity-Based Graded Levels, encouraging continuous improvement across institutions. These reforms aim to streamline accreditation, enhance quality standards, and increase coverage to 90% of higher education institutions by 2030.
Following the workshop, Er. Rajesh Deorari delivered a detailed presentation on the upcoming revised NAAC Metrics during the Semester Commencement Meet-2024 at the University Auditorium on August 10, 2024, addressing faculty members and academic leaders of the different schools.
The event in the University Auditorium was graced by presence of the esteemed President of Uttaranchal University, Sh. Jitender Joshi, alongwith the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dharam Buddhi, and Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. Rajesh Bahuguna. The occasion was further elevated by the participation of Team IQAC members, Er. Sudhir Jugran and Er. Rishi Nautiyal, Assistant Managers at IQAC, as well as other prominent dignitaries and senior officials of the university.
