Uttaranchal organized its orientation program Deeksharambh on 23 August 2024 at the Swami Vivekanand Auditorium, for the freshers -2024 of Law College Dehradun and School of Agriculture, where the new students were welcomed by the Orientation team along with the management of Uttaranchal University and the faculty members.
The orientation began with a brief inaugural ceremony and felicitation of the dignitaries. The event commenced with a warm welcome by Prof. Poonam Rawat, Principal LCD and the Dean SOA, Prof. Mahipal Singh. The heads of the college gave detailed guidelines regarding the curriculum and various curricular and co-curricular activities of the respective schools. This was followed by a brief introduction on the Institution's hierarchy and the University system by Prof (Dr) Shravan Kumar, Dean Student Welfare who also detailed the strong support systems available within the university for the welfare of the student community.
Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro Vice Chancellor & Dean Law College Dehradun captivated the audience with his inspirational words. Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Vice- Chancellor averred to provide a promising environment to foster a well-rounded development for every student who has stepped into the University. Shri Jitender Joshi, President motivated the students through his personal anecdotes.
The event turned out to be exciting and inspiring, loaded with the needed guidance and encouragement from the family of Uttaranchal University.
