An alumni meet was organized on 13th April in the campus of Uttaranchal University. A
stellar live performance was given by young heartthrobs, Neha Kakkar and
Rohanpreet Singh on this occasion. More than 500 students from different states
of the country participated in the meet,
some of whom were from the first batch, year 2002, who are today deployed and
serving in the country and abroad.
The alumni were welcomed into the
university with rhythmic drum beats. A cultural program was also organized in
the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium of the University in which students gave
cultural presentations in the honor of the alumni. The former students said
that it was a pleasant experience to return to the college after 15 to 20
years. On this occasion, students shared the memories of their college days and
informed about their current experiences. The alumni were excited to meet their
teachers and turned the occasion into a memorable one by clicking selfies with
everyone.
In his address, when the Chancellor of
the University, Shri Jitender Joshi started talking about the establishment of
Law College Dehradun; 22 years ago and the first batch, not only the alumni but
he himself became emotional. He said that I have a family of thousands of
alumni working in the country and abroad, due to which I consider myself to be the
richest person in the world.
