In an endeavor to foster academic excellence and promote innovation, Uttaranchal Institute of Management hosted a comprehensive workshop on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and Research Paper Writing. The event, held from 12-23 February 2024 attracted a diverse audience of BBA, MBA & B Com students, eager to enhance their understanding of IPR and refine their research paper writing skills.
The workshop's inauguration commenced with a warm welcome from Dr Pradeep Suri, the Dean UIM. Following his opening remarks, he extended a gracious welcome to the speaker, presenting them with a sapling as a token of honor. He stressed the significance of youth in fostering the country's growth. While we've begun to increase the number of patents, it's equally essential to ensure that these patents are granted.
Dr Rajesh Singh, Director, DRI, Uttaranchal University, a leading authority in intellectual property law and the resource person at the workshop, emphasized the significance of IPR in safeguarding innovations, Era 4.0 Digitalization recent trends and fostering a culture of creativity within academic institutions."
Dr Anita Gehlot, a Professor & Head, Research & Innovation, UU shared valuable tips for crafting well-structured and persuasive research papers. "Effective research paper writing is not only about presenting data and findings but also about engaging readers and contributing to the advancement of knowledge," said Dr Anita.
Dr Tilottama Head of the department, UIM, Uttaranchal University offered her insights on intellectual property rights (IPR) and research paper writing. Capt. Rakesh Kumar, Assistant Professor, UIM proposed the vote of thanks at the end of the session.
