On January 24, 2024, the Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences (USCS) organised a "Workshop on Research Tools ". The expert speaker of the event was Prof (Dr) Nilesh Uke, Principal at Trinity Academy of Engineering, Pune.
Prof (Dr) Sonal Sharma, Dean USCS welcomed the expert speaker. She mentioned that Research tools play a pivotal role in advancing the capabilities of researchers and scholars across various fields.
Dr Nilesh Uke introduced the faculty members to a variety of tools employed in research, encompassing reference management software, data analysis tools, literature review tools, collaborative platforms, and many others. He explained that in the dynamic landscape of academia, researchers rely on these instruments to efficiently navigate the vast seas of information, conduct thorough literature reviews, and manage citations seamlessly. Citation management tools such as Zotero, or Mendeley aid researchers in organizing references, ensuring precision in scholarly writing. All the faculty members participated enthusiastically and had their queries addressed by expert speakers.
The workshop was concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr Sameer Dev Sharma, HoD, USCS. Mr Abhishek Kumar Pathak successfully moderated the workshop with the support of Ms Manisha Saini and Ms Manisha Khanduja.
