In the dynamic and ever evolving world of human resources (HR), and to foster the spirit of continuous learning and development, the HR club of Uttaranchal institute of Management, Uttaranchal University organised “Manthan”, case study competition on 10 October,2023 that provided a platform for students to delve into real world HR challenges.
The event was organised by the HR club headed by Dr. Shailesh Chamola and his team members of UIM, Uttaranchal University.
Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri, Dean, UIM had chaired this event. The event was conducted to analyse and stimulate real life scenarios and to enhance the critical thinking and problem-solving skills of the students.
There were 6 groups namely Strive Squad, Group Armstrong, Group Dave, Group Nexus, Group HR’s Desk and Group Twin Sparkle. The group I, Strive Squad presented Watson Private Limited Company: Employee recognition vs employee equality case. The group-II, Group Armstrong presented organisational culture, employee recognition and workplace dynamics case. The group-III, Group Dave presented a case study about HR management. The group-IV, Group Nexus presented the case of Amazon. The group V, The HR Desk presented the case of The Manesar Incident. Group-VI, Twin Sparkle presented a case on the impact of employee engagement on organisational performance. At the end of every presentation, question- answer round was there.
The winner of this event was group Strive squad which had Satya Prakash, Sheetal Nautiyal, Neha Bisht, Prachi Singh and Lalit Singh Negi from MBA 1st Year. The runner up was Group Armstrong with members Ashta Bisht, Himani Dobhal and Himanki of BBA II year.
At the end, vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Tilotamma Singh, HOD, UIM. It was a remarkable event that showcased the dedication of the HR club in promoting HR excellence.
