School of Agriculture (SOA), Uttaranchal University, Dehradun; is renowned for its commitment for preserving and celebrating cultural heritage, recently hosted a grand celebration in honour of GARH BHOJ DIWAS 2023 on 6th October, 2023. The event began with address by Prof. (Dr.) Mahipal Singh, Dean SOA. He shared his views about historical and cultural importance of the day. One of the highlights of the event was an essay writing competition centered on 'Traditional Crops and Food of Uttarakhand,' where students showcased their literary prowess by exploring the topic of 'GARH BHOJ DIWAS.' The competition provided a platform for young minds to express their thoughts. Competition was organized by Dr. Rachna Juyal, Dr. Neha Saini, Mr. Jayanti Ballabh, and Mr. Sunil Prakash. At the end, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Head of the Department SOA; praised the significance of the day, it symbolizes; and persuaded everyone for active participation.
