The Women's Cell, School of Applied and Life Sciences, conducts an online workshop on menstrual hygiene for girl students. A workshop on menstrual hygiene was conducted by the women's cell, SALS, in association with the Global Hunt Foundation and their collaborators, Unicharm India, on 13 September 2023.

The new batch of 2023–24 sessions participated in the workshop, which was conducted virtually. The session was conducted by Ms Nitya Chaudhary, a specialist in social work, women's empowerment, and project management who has been working with Unicharm India since 2016 as an integral part of the CSR team.

The workshop was very informative, and girls were made aware of menstrual hygiene to stay healthy and comfortable. Various problems associated with an unhealthy lifestyle were also shared. Ms. Nitya also answered all the questions raised by the girls.

A vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. Bharti Ramola, Head of Women Cell SALS, where she thanked Dean SALS for allowing the women's cell to conduct the workshop. She thanked the guest speaker, Ms Nitya Chaudhary, for presenting such an important issue in a simple manner.

Dr Indra Rautela, Dr Ritu Painuly, and Dr Sadhana Awasthi were also present at the session, along with female students from the fields of chemistry, biotechnology, and food technology.
