Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), Uttaranchal University, Dehradun organized an industrial visit to Himalaya Wellness Company, Dehradun, Uttarakhand on 02 September 2023. A total of 52 students of B. Pharm 3rd year along with faculty members, Mr. S.P Bhatt and Mr. Shubhang Uniyal visited the company in coordination with Mr. Jahangir.
They showed a documentary on the journey of a Himalaya wellness company and the contribution of Himalaya towards humanity as they also conducted a mission for contributing to cleft surgery of children. After that, Dr. Suman took students to visit the Department of quality control and quality assurance, the manufacturing unit, the herbal garden, and the museum. At the end of the session, Dr. S. Farooq (President of the company) interacted with the students and motivated them towards Herbal Drug Industry.
Students also explored the museum, Herbal Garden, and manufacturing unit of the Dehradun Plant. The visit to the company was extremely helpful as the students got a good piece of knowledge and were well informed about the production of the industry.
