Pro Bono Club in Collaboration with Legal Aid Centre of Law College Dehradun, faculty of Uttaranchal University conducted a Legal Awareness Camp on 26 September 2023, in a Basti in Suddhowala. The event was initiated in the presence of the Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna, Dean, Law College Dehradun, Nodal Officer; Pro Bono Club & Director; Legal Aid Centre, Prof (Dr) Poonam Rawat HOD, Law College Dehradun, Presiding Officer of Pro Bono Club & Dy Director of Legal Aid Centre), Mr Abhiranjan Dixit, Faculty-in-charge, Pro Bono club & Chairperson of Legal Aid Centre.
During the drive, emphasis was laid down on various legal and other socio-legal topics such as dowry prohibition, F.I.R. registration, Nyaya Bandhu Scheme, Aayushman Card, BPL Card, etc and information related to the same was given to spread awareness on these necessities. Also, they were ensured to be given assistance in making applications for their Adhaar Card, PAN Card, Domicile, BPL & Aayushman Card, etc. The awareness camp turned to be truly beneficial for the needy.
