On the occasion of “WORLD OZONE WEEK”, School of Liberal Arts and UU ECO-COPS Home of eco warriors jointly organised a “Face Painting Competition” on the theme 'Painting the Future' on 25th September 2023 at SLA. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of preserving the ozone layer and fostering environmental consciousness among the students. The event began with a warm welcome extended to all the guests, judges, faculty members and the participants. The chief guests and judges for the event were Ms Sapna Bisht, Assistant Professsor, USHHM, Ms Jyotsana Suyal, Assistant Professor, UIPS and Dr Reeta Rautela, HOD- SLA. They interacted with the participants and encouraged them for their creativity and hard work. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various colleges. Participants showcased their creativity and passion through colourful and impactful face painting ideas and showcased their vision and interpretation of future through their art pieces. The judging panel evaluated the Face Painting based on Artistic Expression, Description of theme and Originality of the idea. At the end the participants who secured the top three positions are: 1. Mr Satyam Yadav - B.Sc. IT (USCS) & Ms Shraddha - BCA (USCS) 2. Ms Maneesha Negi & Ms Priya Juyal – BA (H) Psychology (SLA) 3. Ms Sandhya Kothiyal & Ms Vanshika Sharma - MA English (SLA). The event concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Mr Sayansh Kaushal, student coordinator of Eco Club- SLA. The event was organized by the faculty coordinator Mr Ashutosh Sharma along with ECO WARRIORS.
