Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Uttaranchal University, Dehradun under the banner of Pharmacology Club organized an Awareness program in Pt. Sureshanand Joshi Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Inter college, Selaqui and Primary Health Care Selaqui, Dehradun on “WORLD PHARMACIST DAY” on 25 September 2023. The awareness program was conceptualized and conducted under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Vikash Jakhmola, Dean, UIPS and Camp was coordinated by Mrs. Nidhi Gairola and Mrs. Pallavi Ghildiyal with student co-ordinators Mr. Anand Raj, Paras, Versha Sharma, Aman Bhatt, Samiulla,, Bhawna, Kajal Chauhan, Prayagraj Saho as the student member of the Pharmacology Club. The event was graced with the presence of Mr. C.M. Rana, President, Diploma Pharmacist Association, Dehradun and Mr. Sanjay Tiwari, Vice President, Pharmacist Association, Dehradun. According to the Dean of UIPS Dr. Vikash Jakhmola, The World Pharmacist Day is conferred to spread awareness against the theme Pharmacists strengthening health systems: Angdaan Mahadaan. The overall nuked natak was presented by the student on Angdaan Mahadaan.
Information about adverse drug reactions and their reporting to the students at school and people around PHC, was also done by the Pharmacy Students of Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
In the awareness program a maximum number of people and school students are aware about organ donation and ADR reporting.
The event ends in the evening with a vote of thanks by co-ordinator of the school Mr. Hari Kishor Gaur, and the principal of the school Mr. Vinod Bhatt. They expressed their vote of thanks towards Shri Jitender Joshi, Honorable Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Satbir Sehgal, Honorable Vice president, Prof. (Dr.) Dharm Buddhi, Honorable Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Vikash Jakhmola, Dean UIPS, Event coordinators Mrs. Nidhi Gairola, Mrs. Pallavi Ghildiyal and Students of UIPS for organizing the event successfully.
