The School of Applied & Life Sciences organized a seminar on "Clean Water & Green Environment for Quality of Life"

The seminar was organised on the significance of clean water, an essential aspect of the Sustainable Development Goals. The seminar was a collaborative effort between the university and Life Mission, an initiative of the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEFCC), with support from Sharon Bio Medicine, a pharmaceutical industry.  


The seminar began with a ceremonial lamp lighting by the dignitaries. Prof (Dr) Ajay Singh, Dean, Applied Science & Research, welcomed the participants and provided an overview of the seminar's theme, emphasizing the importance of clean water and a green environment in maintaining quality of life.  


Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Vice Chancellor,  emphasised the significance of research in promoting clean water and achieving sustainable development goals. Dr Vipin Gupta from MoEFCC discussed the initiatives of Mission Life. Mr Manoj Mamgain, an industry expert from Sharon Bio Medicine, highlighted the importance of maintaining quality standards in both industries and social life.  


As a part of the seminar, a debate competition and poster presentation were organized. More than 150 students participated in these competitions. In the debate competition, the first position was secured by Vivek and Hurya Siddique, the second position by Gurpreet and Tanuj, and the third position by Ayush Gaur. In the poster presentation, the first position was won by Gurleen and Sakshi Saini, the second position by Ayushi Rana, and the third position by Tushar.  


The seminar was convened by Prof Ajay Singh and coordinated by Dr Bharti Ramola, Dr V K Srivastava, and Dr Nishesh Sharma.
