On August 18, 2023, the School of Applied and Life Sciences (SALS) organized an educational tour to the ONGC Museum for the B Sc (Hons) Mathematics, M Sc Mathematics, and B Sc Data Science students. The students were surprised to observe a pendulum swinging in the opposite direction. They were told that the Earth's motion is the basis of the pendulum's movement. The students watched a short film about the discovery of crude oil, its extraction from the earth's core, and the various uses of hydrocarbons in daily life. The students visited a palace where varied spheres like remote sensing, geographical exploration, seismic exploration, and historical perspectives were illustrated.

Dr. V. K. Srivastava, Dr Ashish Rayal, and Ms Meenu, faculty members in the Department of Mathematics, coordinated the tour.
