World Environment Day was celebrated by School of Applied & Life Sciences by organising a Seminar on “Protecting Marine Ecosystem and Preserving Terrestrial Biodiversity #BeatPlasticPollution” on 5th June 2023. The key note speakers for the seminar were Prof. Y. S. Negi and Prof. Raman Nautiyal.


The event was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chancellor Shri Jitender Joshi, Vice President Prof. Satbir Singh Sehgal, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dharam Buddhi and External Experts. In his address Vice Chancellor stressed on the need to preserve our earth by beating plastic pollution which has become a menace in today’s world. Dr. Ajay Singh in his welcome note shared vision of conserving are Eco-System by defeating plastic pollution. Prof. Y. S. Negi the key note speaker talked about the importance of greenery on earth and stressed that every individual should plant a tree on the occasion of World Environment Day. Prof. Raman Nautiyal stressed on the importance of preserving life on land and water. The event was hosted by Prof. Bharti Ramola. Over all a vibrant message was sent to the audience to explore innovative solutions and forge a sustainable path towards a healthier greener future of all life on earth.
