Law College Dehradun faculty of Uttaranchal University under the aegis of Rotaract Club organized a Stationery Item Donation Drive on 9th May 2023 under its initiative, “Project SHIKSHA”. In the first phase of this project, the college's students and faculty donated material and monetary donations about Rs. 28,000/-
The items so collected were then distributed among 83 students from classes 1st to 5th of Rajkiya Prathamik Vidyalaya, Nalapani, Raipur, a Government Primary School situated in a remote area in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Each student was given a packet of stationery items which included registers, medium-sized notebooks, erasers, sharpeners, scales, drawing books, geometry boxes, and crayons. Following this, the members and volunteers also interacted with the kids.
With this initiative, the club not only endeavored to provide stationery items to those in need but also to motivate the youngsters to do the same for others soon, for charity is a gift that keeps giving.
