A guest lecture was
organised for the students at the School of Applied and Life Sciences on 12 May
2023. Prof Enrico Catizzone from the University of Calabria, Italy was the
guest speaker. The lecture was on the topic, ‘Biomass- Renewable Energy.’

Singh introduced the speaker and said the knowledge gained could be used in
future project work by students.
Prof Enrico Catizzone
briefed everyone regarding the utilization of biomass as a renewable resource.
He elaborated on the world energy scenario and stressed the need to move
towards renewable resources Biomass is one of them.
A vote of thanks was
proposed by Prof. (Dr.) Bharti Ramola, who thanked Prof. Enrico for connecting
virtually and giving valuable information to the students.
