Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University organized Seminar on: Entrepreneurship Challenges and Lessons of Service Industry on 17 February 2023 in the Seminar Hall of UIM in offline mode. This seminar is aimed at providing an appropriate knowledge and platform for students to encourage them to cultivate entrepreneurial idea generation.
Dr Abhilasha Chauhan, Assistant Professor, UIM, Uttaranchal University, welcomed the eminent speaker to have discussion over the various challenges faced by young entrepreneurs. Dr Tilottama Singh, HoD addressed students on the importance of entrepreneurial ideology and invited the guest speaker for further discussion.
Mr. Himanshu Shekhar initiated the session with a briefing on his entrepreneurial journey. He talked about the static and dynamic challenges faced by him while raising his two ventures Delhi by Cycle and Gyan Yatra. Specifically, the static challenges of being innovative, being competitive and ethical and maintaining growth & quality checks. Dynamic challenges like sudden changes, technological change, changes in policies, also challenges like pollution and government orientation etc. Further, he has also answered the inquisitive students successfully. At the end of the session, he motivated students to nurture their entrepreneurial thought process to convert it into a real environment.
Prof (Dr) Harpreet Singh Grewal, Dean UIM and Dr Tilottama Singh, HoD, UIM facilitated the eminent speaker by presenting memento as a mark of appreciation. Ms Prerna Goyal, Assistant Professor, UIM and Dr Abhilasha Chauhan, Assistant Professor, UIM organized the seminar for all Management students.
A Vote of Thanks was proposed by Ms Prerna Goyal, Assistant Professor UIM, Uttaranchal University to the eminent speaker, faculty members &students. On behalf of Uttaranchal University, she expressed her gratitude to the eminent speaker for augmenting knowledge of the students on the various challenges faced by the young entrepreneurs.
