The Women Cell of the School of Liberal Arts organized a Story Writing Competition and Poster Presentation event to acknowledge the potential of young girls and to make them learn to give their thoughts a voice. The event was organized to celebrate International Day of the Girl Child, which is observed annually on 11th October to empower girls to face the challenges they encounter boldly.
The theme for the story writing competition was Girl Power. Students from all the colleges of the university were invited to submit their stories, and we received a tremendous response. After careful evaluation, Richa Pandey, BA3rd Year student, secured the first position. To further highlight the importance of empowering girls, a poster presentation was scheduled for the same day, 11th Oct 2022, in the LCD seminar hall. The Women Cell of the University selected a few posters from SLA for demonstration. The event aimed to encourage girls to give voice to their thoughts and opinions and to highlight the importance and potential of young girls. The event was coordinated by Dr Pinki Chugh, Member Secretary of the Women Cell at SLA.
