Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Uttaranchal University, Dehradun organizes an Industrial visit for B. Pharm Students

 

Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Uttaranchal University, Dehradun organizes an Industrial visit to Seron Bio Medicine Ltd. and  Biological E, Selaqui, Dehradun, Uttarakhand on 08th October, 2022 Total 94 students of B Pharm 3rd year visited the company. The visit was organized by Pharmaceutical Club of the Department. 

The objective of the visit was to give students insight into how companies operate. Mr. Amit Kotiyal, Head Production, interacted with the students and explained about the working culture of the industry. During the visit, the students visited production unit, QA,QC, packaging unit and warehouse department of the industry under the guidance of Mr. Manoj Mamgain (HR), MR. Vipin  Chauhan, Mr. Jitendra Singh (Production) and Mr. Harmeet Singh (Packaging). Students were explained about dispensing area, granulation process, compression process, coating of tablets, and also provided knowledge about different types of packaging.The visit to the company was very fruitful as the students got a good knowledge of the production in industryfrom the experts. 

The team of students also visited Biological E, here Mr. Rakesh Srivastava, Head GM, interacted with the students and gave a general overview of Pharmaceutical Industries and also about company’s growth and status.They interacted with the pharmaceutical industry to understand different departments and processes of pharma industries with novel approaches.

The visit proved to be extremely beneficial for the students as it provided information about the whole manufacturing process of the liquid dosage form and very closely interacted with the experts and learn some technical handling of the formulation during manufacturing and packaging.  The students extended their gratitude towards Hon’ble Chancellor Shri Jitender Joshi, Vice-Chancellor Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, and Dean-UIPS, Prof (Dr) Vikash Jakhmola for facilitating the organization of the visit. The industrial visit was coordinated by Dr Ankit Sharma, Mr. S P Bhatt, Ms. Mahamedha Deorari and Ms.  Shivani Rawat.
